It’s the holiday season yet again, which means the roads are icy and businesses are quiet, but deliveries need to be made on time. Without Santa Claus on his way, that duty falls to America’s truck drivers, and while we don’t have any carols to sing or stories to tell, we want to take the time to recognize the real bringers of holiday cheer.

Regardless of what they’re delivering, truck drivers across the country work tirelessly to ensure that the economy’s wheels keep turning through the slow winter months. It’s not easy work; the ice, snow, cold, and dark all make driving much harder, and much less comfortable. While many of the rest of us are warm and cozy at home, drivers are in their cabs hauling loads and making their deliveries on time.

Truck drivers aren’t usually at the forefront of our minds, especially in weeks like these, but they are the unsung heroes of our holiday season. Even when the road is at its most dangerous, our truckers are working around the clock to deliver goods, materials, and equipment to their destinations. We wish them safe travels always.

So in the interests of our beloved real-world Santa Clauses, take some time this holiday season to thank a truck driver, even if it’s just at your local gas station, and spread some holiday cheer to the people who spread it the furthest.

US Transport is proud to give thanks to our wonderful fleet of drivers, and drivers across the country, for keeping up the good work this winter. We wouldn’t have the holidays without you!
